We are a small, young company and our software is new. Windows Defender SmartScreen and antivirus programmes such as Norton therefore do not yet "know" it — and display a warning on first launch.
This is not an indication of malware, but exactly the protection mechanism working as intended: Windows and Norton warn about files that very few people have downloaded so far — this is called reputation. The more people use a file without issues, the higher its reputation becomes.
The reputation of a brand-new file builds up on its own over time, after which the warnings disappear. Updates are not affected — the app will update itself later without any of these notices.
Our installers are signed via Microsoft Trusted Signing — an official Microsoft service. Microsoft has formally verified the identity of Sammeltresor UG (haftungsbeschränkt), and the signing certificate is issued directly by Microsoft (certificate chain: Microsoft Identity Verification Root → … → Sammeltresor UG (haftungsbeschränkt)). You can check this yourself: right-click the file → Properties → Digital Signatures.
